Whether you are backpacking, studying or making a short stopover, our bed & breakfast is designed to offer you all the amenities you might need.

We are right at the heart of the bohemian area of Lapa Arches, an old Roman style aqueduct built in the 17th Century, and next to the coloured tiled stairs of Selaron; just a short walking Distance to Flamengo beach and just a few minutes away from Copacabana and Ipanema beaches by taxi or public transport. Ours is the old residential neighbourhood of Santa Tereza, home to artists and intellectuals, where you can also enjoy the scenic bondinho (tram) running through the heart of the village which will take you downtown.

Our location, less than a mile from the city centre and a 10/15 minute walk or a short taxi ride from Rio's spectacular beaches and major tourist attractions, finds us at the right spot and close to everything! Facilities.

We are NOT a hotel; instead we offer a few comfortable rooms in two individual apartments in a four storey house, offering security to our guests in a friendly home atmosphere. Originally from the 20th Century, the building is a Art Deco house completely renovated and converted into a modern bed and breakfast with a patio with barbecue, set on a property above Lapa's liveliest streets of bars and clubs.

Most rooms are equipped with: AC, fan and depending on your budget you may have the use of the en-suite or communal bathroom. Self-catering kitchen, night bar, breakfast, TV, Lounge, Lockers, Hammocks, laundry, tips on tours, safety deposit box, barbecue area.

We offer a pick-up and drop-off service from the airport, bus station and cruise ship terminal, plus customised half and full day tours, hikes and ecological trips in and around Rio as well as jeep trips.

We speak: English, Portuguese, Italian and Spanish.

New Year (4 nights - 29,30,31 of December and 1st of January).
Carnival (6 nights - 11/02 until 16/02). After booking any day of those packages please get in touch with the hostel via e-mail to get instructions on how to pay in advance.
Private rooms: when booking many nights please contact us in order to secure your room with full payment
There are no refunds in case of cancellation
