Lucky D's San Diego Hostels location is to be envied. We are only three short blocks (a two minute walk) from the heart of the Gaslamp which means that when you are done partying you will be able to walk back to Lucky D's hostel to enjoy a quiet nights sleep. We are so centrally located that almost all of San Diego's area attractions can be reached by foot or a short bus ride.

No bus, taxi or car is needed to eat or drink at over 150 bars, clubs, restaurants and eateries. Supermarkets and health food stores on our doorstep will enable you to keep on budget with healthy eating at Lucky D's. Shop till you drop in downtown San Diego's fabulous boutiques. A short 30 minute bus ride will get you to San Diego's impressive beaches. Stroll down the boardwalk to Belmont Park and ride San Diego's famous wooden rollercoaster. Rent a bike and cruise up to La Jolla for breathtaking views. Surf, swim, sunbathe, eat, drink and party. Take in the sights, relax in the park. At Lucky D's you can do it all!

Lucky Ds Hostel has many amenities to ensure all guests enjoy their stay in downtown San Diego. One of Lucky Ds most enjoyed amenities is our enormous party room. This well equipped room is where our hostels nightly parties take place and travelers enjoy meeting each other. During the day it is the perfect place to hang out, read a book or watch a movie. At night, things get more lively with our massive parties, many of them themed. When you are tired of the party it is easy to retire upstairs away from the noise as our party room is conveniently located on the ground floor away from all the rooms.

As well as Lucky Ds Hostel common room being a fantastic meeting point, Lucky Ds also runs many tours which offers travelers a fun way to see San Diego, whilst meeting and hanging out with their fellow backpackers.

We offer many cheap or free meals daily at Lucky Ds to help keep you on budget. For those who like to cook for themselves we have a large well equipped kitchen available for your use.

Keeping in touch could never be easier whilst staying at Lucky Ds Hostel. We proudly offer FREE Internet, both wired and wireless. We also have a large message board where you can collect, or leave, your messages. It is also a good place to find travel and entertainment specials.

Our hostel is completely renovated. Dorm rooms are clean and comfortable. Most sleep only 4, with a couple of larger rooms to accommodate the bigger groups.

Not as interesting but very handy is our laundry room where we provide free washing powder.
