The Gili Air Hotel is a tourist resort located on the sea, which rises onto the small Gili Air atoll. In Indonesian, Gili Air means little island of water, and Gili Air is one of the most beautiful islands in the world, just 5 km from the 'mother' island of Lombok, in central Indonesia.

The resort extends over a surface area of approximately 25, 000 m² and consists of a central body, where the front office services, restaurants and offices are located.

The accomodation consists of 31 typical chalets, which are mostly positioned along the seafront, to give beautiful views over the incredible colours of unique dawns and dusks.

The relaxing atmosphere provides an excellent way of 'de-stressing' for those who wish to distance themselves from the frenetic life of the city.

Neighborhood

The island of Gili Air is, with approximately 1, 800 inhabitants, the most densely populated island of the archipelago made up of three small atolls (Gili Air, Gili Meno and Gili Trawangan). The local inhabitants (the Sasak) are very kind and hospitable to tourists.

How to get there

Public transport, with taxis and regular buses (called bemo), will take you to Bangsal, the port from where connections with Gili Air island, leave.
The journey can take between 30 minutes and an hour and a half. Our hotel can, in any case, arrange for you to be picked up in Lombok from anywhere on the island.

On the island, the only means of transport are the cidomo, which are small horse-drawn carts that transport people from one part of the island to another.

Nearest airport: In order to reach our atoll, you first need to get to Denpasar, administrative centre of Bali,From the airport of Denpasar, it is just a 20-minute flight to the island of Lombok, with the airline Merpati which runs five daily return flights, or alternativ
