Kandy District is a district of the Central Province of Sri Lanka. Its area is 1906. 3 km². The capital of the district is Kandy. Gadaladeniya  Temple is located at Pilimathalawa, Kandy. When you are driving from Colombo to Kandy, Gadaladeniaya temple road is at your right hand side.

Hindagala cave temple is famous for its wall paintings. It can be reach easily from Paradaniaya - Galaha junction.
Hindagala is one of the affiliate temple comes under Malwathu Vihara Chapter. It’s believed that this temple was built in 6th century.

By taxi, the best way to travel from the airport to Kandy is by taxi. and the journey takes around 3 1/2 hours. You can also take the shuttle bus to the nearby bus terminal, and hop on a direct bus to Kandy. and the journey takes approximately 41/2 hours. If you'd like to go by train, the journey from Colombo . Make sure to book your tickets beforehand.
