Tamarind Beach Hotel is a bungalow hotel by the white sandy beaches of the Indian Ocean. Accommodation is set in a peaceful and friendly atmosphere, all rooms facing one of the most beautiful and unspoilt beaches in Zanzibar. Tamarind is situated at Uroa, a traditional fishing village. In Uroa there are only 3 hotels and still has that unique Zanzibar feeling, not yet discovered by "beach boys". Tamarind is well suited for families with small children, our beach is safe and undisturbed. Our staff is friendly and informal, we are known for our home-like atmosphere. Tamarind is situated in Uroa Village on the middle east coast, 36 km from Stone Town, a 40 minutes drive, good road all the way.
Our location makes it convenient to make day trips to Stone Town and all the famous excursions on the island
Our area of the east coast is one of the less crowded places, no disturbance on the beach.
You can book our minibus to collect you at the airport or harbor.
