Love to explore this beautiful United States that we’re so lucky to call home? I just came across this quote on line a few days ago… “The World Is A Book, And Those Who Do Not Travel, Read Only One Page” ~ Saint Augustine. How fitting and true! With 2017 just a day away, Id like to bring to all my fellow travelers, for the New Year, a place that I personally have never ventured to, here in the US, but I think you might enjoy exploring for yourself. And I hope to get there this coming year and will share my photos! Its not your typical “Tourists” destinations like Disney World, NYC, the Grand Canyon, ect. Its a place that most probably haven’t heard of, and if you have, you will definitely agree with me that its a magical, beautiful part of the world that is still untouched by big “Commercial” attractions. Its nature at its most beauty surrounded by the majestic Olympic Mountains. We’re talking about Washington State’s Olympic Peninsula. Its an area that has a million acres of wilderness, which is known that no other place in the US can match its diversity in terrain, mountains, coastlines and rain forests. By exploring the Olympic National Park, which sprawls across several different ecosystems, from the dramatic peaks of the Olympic Mountains to old-growth forests, just on its alone, you will be struct by its beauty. Like I said, its definitely on my Bucket List for this coming year & Ill ask if you do have your own experience of traveling there & would like to share your memories/photos, please do!
For more information on Olympic National Park, and all it has to offer for a great place to explore, check out the link below. And keep your eyes posted for more awesome places to venture off to in my next Blog in Jan! Happy New Year Travelers!

When traveling the world, I usually find Travel Books to read up on, search online for places to visit, even find episodes of Rick Steves in order to find places that are not typical to travelers. The “Hot Spots” / “Landmarks” are something to visit for sure, like The Colosseum in #Rome, Buckingham Palace in #London, Central Park in #NYC, ect but I’m also a fan of small hidden Villages. One amazing city that I traveled to in 2015 was Dublin, #Ireland and while there I found a few hidden jems as well. Westport, Strandhill, (Which is known for surfing) and Enniskerry, which has the beautiful Powerscourt Waterfall, which is said to be the highest waterfall in Ireland, just to point out a few. In my search, I recently came alone this article pointing out a handful of beautiful, charming European Villages that I’m putting on my list for 2017. Take a look, you’ll probably be drawn in as well!
Awwww, San Francisco, the beautiful “City By The Bay” It certainly has its own personality, with hundreds of fabulous Restaurants to choose from, its a Tourists haven. Between the hippie chic of the Upper Height to the hipster grit of the Mission District, as well as the Marina district, which boasts trendy bistros and postcard-perfect views of the Golden Gate Bridge. Located in picturesque Northern California, it’s a hilly city on the tip of a peninsula surrounded by the Pacific Ocean and San Francisco Bay. Even though San Francisco will have many of the traditional events of the holiday season, tree lightings, concerts, and one of our favorites, the Soli Deo Gloria concerts, Sat, Dec. 3rd 2016 at 4pm at Christ Episcopal, Alameda and Sunday, Dec. 4th 2016 at 3:30pm at Grace Lutheran, Palo Alto, theres also many other events. So if you’re looking for something a little different this year, there are plenty of options. Here are 10 fun holiday ideas that break with tradition:
Visiting New York City is a dream of millions of people. Some of us are lucky enough to live here. But be warned, there is a list of places in #NYC that you probably dont realize have frequent visitors, which only a few have seen….Ghosts, and theyre not shy. New Yorkers talk about their run-ins with the afterlife and firsthand encounters with #poltergeists in the City. We’re told that ghosts haunt mostly NYC’s old buildings, parks, and of course #cemeteries. Im still experimenting with the “Haunted Bars” scene, which, as of today, I haven’t had an encounter. But Im having a blast exploring! ~ We did have a paranormal experience while in a Bar in #Savannah, GA, which Ill save for another blog!

We ALL love our Pets, they’re considered our “Best Friends / Family”. And just like traveling with a small child, it can be a wonderful and bonding experience or a not so pleasant one. Its all in the planning! One great tip I got from my neighbor was, if you’re planning on a long drive for instance, before you actually take that Road Trip, is to take a trial run to see how your pet responds. Does he get car sick? Anxious? Its a really good idea to find this out first, believe me! Not all pets are good with traveling. Could be because of age or they’re just too excited. Below you can read up more about traveling with your pet and the article also offers the tips to help you prepare for a safe and smooth trip, as well as the steps you can take to make traveling a pleasant experience, for both you & your pet!

Traveling the world is a beautiful thing. But sometimes, right in your own backyard, there are amazing / beautiful places to visit, without even getting on a plane. Road trips, in my opinion, can be exciting. My husband & I take many. Less stress than flying & were at our own pace, and October can also be a perfect Month to plan your adventures (if you plan it right, most States have their beauty due to the leaves changing). These 40 American towns that are highlighted below, are probably towns that most of us haven’t even heard of. Take a look & get out there to enjoy the beauty of these few amazing beauties! Right in our own backyards!
FYI: Today is National Coffee Day! To celebrate National Coffee Day, Starbucks will donate a coffee tree for every brewed cup of México Chiapas coffee you buy on Thursday, September 29. Today’s cup can help a farmer’s future! Drink up!
At 10:21am tomorrow, September 22, 2016, is the Fall Equinox. I describe it as when there is a shift from warm, beautiful summer days to cozy fall. There are only two times of the year when the Earth’s axis is tilted neither toward nor away from the sun. March 19th (Vernal Equinox – the first day of Spring) and September 22nd, (Autumnal Equinox – the first day of fall). We’re going to be enjoying the cooler days of autumn, while, south of the equator, spring is about to begin.
The word Equinoz is from the Latin aequinoctium, aequus (equal) and nox (genitive noctis) (night).
