Berunes Hostel is centrally located for those who are travelling between north and south; between Skaftafell National Park and the Myvatn area. The hostel is ideal as a "last night stop" for those who are leaving the country by the Ferry Norraena in Seydisfjordur. The Hostel is a charming farmhouse, built at the beginning of last century and yet offers modern facilities and small romantic family rooms. |

| There is a beautiful path leading up between the peaks above the Hostel and down into a valley on the other side. For the more daring, there is Búlandstindur (1066m) just beyond the fjord. The hosts of Berunes welcome all their guests to observe the milking of the cows and the general farm life. | | |
