Located in the middle of Umbria, it is very close to the main attractions in the region: Assisi, Orvieto, Spoleto, Todi, the Piediluco Lake and the Marmore Waterfalls are all easily reachable either by car or train. Acquasarta itself is linked to the history of the famous Lincei Academy : the prince Federico Cesi refounded it in his palace in 1609, six years after its Roman creation. Among its guests Galileo Galilei is mentioned. The Cesi Palace dating back to XVI can be visited in Acquasparta.
