| There's plenty to do in Washington County ~ Tour Blue Bell Creameries, relive history at Washington-on-the-Brazos State Park and Star of the Republic Museum as well as the Brenham Heritage Museum and the Giddings-Wilkin House Museum. Walk through and select from acres of vintage plants and seasonal flowers, all the time gathering wonderful gardening ideas to take back home, at Ellison's Greenhouses and the Antique Rose Emporium. Pet the miniature horses at the Monastery of St. Clare. The Pleasant Hill Winery is open for tastings, great wine information and a look at their unique antique corkscrew collection. We are only 5 minutes from Lake Somerville, which offers para-sailing, jet-ski rentals, fishing, boating and two sandy beaches for swimming. The George Bush Presidential Library and Texas A&M University are only a half hour away and Festival Institute at Round Top is outstanding. South of Round Top you will find The Jersey Barnyard, home of "Belle", the Blue Bell cow, a dairy offering cheese made right on the farm. | | Directions | From Houston (1 1/2 hours) 290 West to Brenham. 50% deposit or first night, whichever is greater, is required for all reservations. Cancellation Policy: Should you need to cancel and notify us at least ten days in advance (30 days in advance for holidays, special events, large groups and package events), we will be happy to credit your deposit to another visit within six months or refund your deposit, less a $25.00 per room processing fee. No refund if cancellation is made within ten days of visit, and charge for entire reservation shall be imposed. No-shows and early departures shall be charged for entire amount originally reserved. Antique Weekends: Total amount due at time of booking. Non-refundable. Groups of two rooms or more are subject to a 30 day cancellation policy.
