Our hotel is situated in "Kaleiçi", the old city quarter of Antalya. Kaleiçi is a typical example of an Ottoman town, where the social structure was a mix of various nations. The influences of different cultures are reflected in the ancient houses. Architects reconstructed the houses with special care to the family tradition and climate. Antalya is very hot during the summer and in the winter it is very mild. Therefore most buildings are insulated against the heat and not the cold.Many houses have a 'sofa'. This large open space was used as living room during the summer. Often the houses have high ceiling for good air circulation. The walled courtyards contain many shadowy places.
