Cabarete Hostel is affordable, cozy, friendly hostel that welcomes individual travelers, explorers of cultures, history, nature and nightlife, as well as the other people on their trip in the Caribbean, travelers how want to spend nice vacation without spending a lot of money.

We are located on the quite natural lagoon, in the private residential area in Cabarete on the North Shore of the Dominican Republic. It is only couple steps away from the beautiful beach and the center of Cabarete. The international Airport of Puerto Plata is just 30 minutes away from us.

3 different room categories, build in the true Caribbean style give you a chance to choose the right option for your vacation budget: from a cheap and nice room to a comfortable and still affordable room.

A beautiful tropical garden surrounds our rooms and big swimming pool, which in the shade of the coconut palms and has great lawn with sun chairs for sunbathing available at no cost to all our guests for a full Caribbean experience. 24 Hours Wireless Internet access is free for everybody. We are located on the North Shore of the Dominican Republic, in Cabarete. Cabarete, a beautiful place in the Caribbean. Over the last fifteen years, Cabarete has changed from a sleepy fishing village to the Windsurfing and
Kitesurfing capital of the Caribbean. On the beach you will find many different varieties of restaurants and bars, appealing to all tastes. Not in vain Cabarete is called the Party town in the Caribbean. Around the town there are a lot of activities you can do: accept of surfing, kitesurfing and windsurfing you can go wakeboarding, mountain biking, visit caves and waterfalls, go through the jungle river, rafting, etc

How to get there

When driving through Cabarete, turn right at the Pro Cab sign, inside Pro Cab, turn right twice and you will see us!

The nearest airport is Puerto Plata(POP), it is about 30 min away from the hostel, we can send you a taxi to pick you up, the ride costs 35 $US/way or you can get to Cabarete by public bus.
If you are arriving at Santiago or Santo Domingo, we also provide a taxi or you can get a bus. There are 2 bus companies that make the transfer to the north shore: METRO and CARIBE TOUR. The destination is SOSUA, small town, close to Cabarete, from there you can easy take a taxi, 10 min away, cost 15$ US or a public bus
Metro hours are 7. 00am, 11. 00am and 4. 00pm, 4 hrs on the way, cost 10 $ US per person
Caribe Tour goes every hour starting at 6. 00am until 7. 00pm, 5 hrs on the way, cost 10$ US per person
