If you’d rather, relax by the pool, rejuvenate with yoga or massage, and let someone else worry about the cooking, we’ll take care of those arrangements too.

Relax at our infinity pool.
In the center of the gardens is Monte Placido's beautiful infinity pool. It gives the illusion of water cascading into the ocean. Our pool is perfect for cooling off and taking a swim. There is a nice shallow area ideal for children. Relax and sun bathe on the lounge chairs, prepare seafood on the Bar-B-Q, dine and enjoy good company at the pool side table. The pool area is open to all guests but can be reserved for a private party.

Tropical Vacation Rental Paradise. Whether you want a large house with lots of space to unwind or a more economical apartment, Monte Placido is the destination in Las Terrenas you have been looking for. All of the units (except Gardenia) have terraces facing the ocean with magnificent unobstructed views and private terraces. Located on a mountain top, the lovely trade wind breezes not only keep the homes cool but also ensure very few mosquitoes. All rooms have fans - no air conditioning (it truly is not needed). Internet wifi is available. Plus, all of the Homes have satellite television.

Many of our guests arrive too late for grocery shopping or going out for dinner. No problem! We provide a Welcome basket full of goodies. Enjoy a snack, alcoholic beverage, soda, a simple pasta dinner, and breakfast of bread & butter, eggs, juice, milk and coffee. If you wish, a delicious dinner can be prepared and waiting for you (see On Site Services).

Monte Placido has a courteous and friendly staff. Tips are not required but certainly appreciated when you receive excellent service. Your stay will include these services:

  Maid service on Monday, Wednesday & Friday

  A caretaker (Jean Claude) who lives on the grounds and speaks some English. He is available to help with suitcases, run small errands (if you need to buy more water), and assist with problems if we are not around.

  A watchman who walks the property with a guard dog in the evening and daily on weekends.
