Dare to be different! Take a walk on Kadavu Island, stay awhile & remember forever a very unique place on Earth.
Waisalima Beach Resort & Dive Centre is the perfect eco get away for travellers seeking something far and beyond what the normal tourist destinations in Fiji have to offer.
Waisalima Beach is an intimate, eco friendly and exquisitely remote resort located on the undeveloped eastern tip of Kadavu Island adjacent to the Naiqoro Passage and overlooking the Great Astrolabe Reef, third largest living organism on Earth, is also one of the worlds richest marine ecosystems.
Waisalima Beach Resort is responsible for the creation and preservation of the marine reserve at Naigoro Passage on the Great Astrolabe Reef. Located just minutes by boat from Waisalima Beach, this gateway between the South Pacific Ocean and Kadavu is one of the most important breeding ground for many types of fish species, making it one of the best places on Kadavu for diving. Enjoy diving along side turtles, sharks of various species (and sizes!), giant hump head wrasse and schools of snapper. A bounty of richly textured and painted coral species thrive from the deep Oceanic upwelling current nutrients.
Viti Water Sports a PADI Gold Star scuba operation based in Nadi run the Waislaima Dive Centre. Part of the diving fees goes directly to the local villages to help them police their marine reserve at Naigoro Passage. The Viti Water Sports dive team run scuba courses from Discover Scuba right through to Dive Master.
