Description - Hostel

Central located, 24h/7 Reception and bar, full infrastructure and the best prices in town! The Amstel House Hostel has everything needed for a great stay in Berlin. By bus or by metro, we are only a few minutes from the central station, historical center, the Brandenburg Gate, the Zoo and the biggest and most famous shopping street Kurfürstendamm.

We are housed by an amazing building. Officially opened in 1914 in honor to the 25th anniversary of William II’s reign - in the presence of the Majesty himself – it was first used as a house for young single men. Now a days a historical heritage due its impressive façade in Art Nouveau style, it was completely renovated and modernized inside and works since 2005 as our Amstel House Hostel. Our great infrastructure offers 24h/7 reception and bar, game room, free internet, bike rent, laundry and tickets services, clean and comfortable rooms. Central located we are only a few minutes bus ride from the main station, the Brandenburg gate and the historical center and two metro stops from the Zoo and the famous shopping street Kurfürstendamm. The Museums of Contemporary Art, Photography, Story of Berlin, between others, are also close by. Come join us!

Stornierungen, die mehr als 28 Tage vor Anreise bekannt gegeben werden, sind kostenfrei. Stornierungen, die später als 28 Tage vor Anreise bekannt gegeben werden, oder Nichtanreisen (No-Shows) werden mit 100% des ursprünglichen Gesamtbetrages berechnet. Grundsätzlich müssen alle Stornierungen in schriftlicher Form übermittelt werden (Telefonanrufe sind nicht möglich!). Im Falle einer kostenpflichtigen Stornierung werden die Stornierungskosten von der Kreditkarte eingezogen. Mit Abschluss der Buchung werden diese besonderen Stornobedingungen anerkannt.

Cancellations announced less than 28 days before arrival or no shows are charged with the originally booked grand total (100%). Cancellations have to be announced in written form, only (no phone calls!). In case of cancellations with costs, the according fees will be charged to your credit card. By confirming your booking you are accepting these special cancellation terms.

TRAIN:
Take southern exit "Washingtonplatz", go across station forecourt. At bus stop 5a take airport bus TXL direction Flughafen Tegel (2, 70 € per single ride ticket, regular fare) for 2 stops. Get off at Underground stop Turmstr. Walk in the same direction as the bus is going on Turmstr. for 3 blocks. Turn right into Bremerstr. for 1 block and turn left into Waldenserstr. The hostel will be on your left in approximately 100m. You have reached Amstel House Hostel Berlin (walking distance from bus stop: 4-6 mins).
If arrival at station Ostbahnhof: take S-Bahn Line S-7 or S-9 directon Grunewald/ Wannsee and change at station Bahnhof Zoologischer Garten and take Underground U-Bahn Line 9, direction Osloer Str. for 2 stops and get off at station U-Bahnhof Turmstr.
If arrival at Station Zoologischer Garten: take Underground U-Bahn Line 9 direction Osloer Str. for 2 stops and get off at station U-Bahnhof Turmstr. Take the exit at the head of the train turn right and follow Turmstr.

PLANE:
Airport Tegel (TXL):Take Bus TXL" 7 stops until station U-Bhf. Turmstr.
Airport Schönefeld (SXF): Take Airport Shuttle until S-Bhf. Flughafen Schönefeld change into S-Bahn Line S-9 direction Grunewald change at station Bahnhof Zoologischer Garten and take Underground U-Bahn Line 9, direction Osloer Str. for 2 stops and get off at station U-Bahnhof Turmstr..

BERLIN BUS TERMINAL (ZOB):
Follow the signs to Underground station Kaiserdamm (3 minutes walk). Get on Underground U-Bahn Line 2 direction Pankow for 5 stops get off at Bahnhof Zoologischer Garten (Zoo Station) to the U-Bahn Line 9, direction Osloer Str. for 2 stops and get off at station U-Bahnhof Turmstrasse.

From Turmstrasse.: Follow Turmstr., until the intersection with Bremer Str. (3rd one). Turn right into Bremer Str., go straight ahead and pass the market-hall until the intersection with Waldenserstr. Turn left and you will reach Amstel House after a few meters on your left said.
