The most direct way to Merry Crab Cove is by boat. We can meet you (FREE OF CHARGE) during daylight hours at Captain Andy's Boatyard on Watamu side of Mida Creek... or Short Beach... it literally takes 5 minutes to cross but only by prior arrangement as we have to work with the tides.
Merry Crab Cove can be seen quite clearly from Short Beach.
By road, the turn off is approx 500m SOUTH of at Matsangoni, a village on the north coast's Mombasa-Malindi highway,
*30 km north of the Kilifi Creek bridge
*15 km south of Gede (Watamu turnoff)
*30km south of Malindi Airport
*35km south of Malindi town centre
Merry Crab Cove itself is 5 km from the Matsangoni-Uyombo turn off.
Whether by road or by boat, these pickup points are well known and easily accessible from Kilifi, Watamu, Gede and Malindi by local transport; tuck-tuck, boda boda (motorbike-taxi) or matata.
If you're flying in, arrangements can be made for a transfer from the Malindi Airport to Merry Crab Cove for a surcharge.
