Description - Hostel

The Atlas House staff is dedicated to making your time in Nola amazing. We offer great information as well as pub crawls and weekly activities. We will help set you up with tours, give you directions around the city or offer some great advice on the can't miss attractions and restaurants in the city. Our swanky common room, porches, and courtyard are great places to mingle with other guests.

All guests receive free wifi, free pancakes breakfast, free linen and a great time!

We strive to be the cleanest in New Orleans. Come enjoy the new furniture and beds and see what we are all about. We have private rooms as well as shared dorm beds. Our common room has a computer for your use as well as free wifi throughout the building. We have plenty of board games, cards and other great activities during your stay. Our shared kitchen is full use for all guests and free pancakes are served each morning.

We are located directly on the Magazine, right alongside a number of cafes, boutique stores and local breweries.

We are only 3 blocks to the St Charles street car and only 3 blocks to downtown.
Walk to bourbon street! The convention center is also only 4 blocks away. We are also the closest hostel to the Amtrack and Greyhound Station. (7 Blocks)

Booking and cancellation policy

Unless otherwise specified, booking payments are non-refundable.

48 Hour cancellation policy must be sent via email. No-shows and late cancellations will be charged the full stay.
First night is non-refundable.
Debit and credit cards are the ONLY accepted form of payment. All payments are subject to 3.5% + 30 cents transaction fee and 1$ per night hotel tax. Both of these are charged at time of check-in.
Mardi Gras Week, Jazz Fest weekends, Essence Fest weekend, Voodoo Fest weekend, Halloween weekend, french quarter festival, Bayou classic weekend All star game weekend, and New Years Eve weekend all have a 30 day cancellation policy. The full amount will be charged 30 days before arrival and is non-refundable.
All dorm guests must have a student ID, out of state ID or international passport AND be under the age of 35 - No exceptions. Private rooms do not have restrictions.
Our reception closes at 9.30 pm. If you will be later than 9.30 pm, you must notify us on the day of your arrival for a late check-in.

How to get there

From the Greyhound/Amtrack Station:

Exit the front side of the station and take Howard 4 blocks towards Magazine street. Take a right on Magazine and walk 3 blocks to the hostel. We are right after Melpomene St. Big Yellow house on the left. Can't miss us : )

From I10: Take US 90/Ponchatrain Expressway. Take St. Charles Street exit. Take a right on Magazine street and go 3 blocks. We are on the left right past Melpomene.

Getting around New Orleans a breeze. Our location is so central that you can walk to everything (including Bourbon Street;15 min walk). Downtown is only 3 blocks away including the WW2 Museum. If you are not in the mood to walk - or the heat is getting to you - take the street car. The street car is only 3 blocks away and is only $1. 25 to use. The street car goes to the french quarter, the cemeteries, city park and much more.
We are directly on the vibrant Magazine street which is the locals favorite. Full of shopping, vintage stores, restaurants and bars.
