Comments (English):
we started our trip here. The reception staff were very knowledgeable and eager to help. The pizza party was a good reason to get to know other travellers. Only problem for us was the double room was damp and smelly. We moved to the dorms and they were fine.

Toda la buena onda del staff del misti, y del hostel entero. mi familia durante mis dos semanas de vacaciones ahi, te hacen sentir comodo, se divierten a la par tuya, gente que sabe como llevarla, en una ciudad super completa para hacer un monton de cosas durante todo el dia.

Comments (English):
I really liked El Misti's service to pick you up at the airport (if you are staying at least three nights). It really helped with costs and also helped because I didn't know the area at all. However, I had to wait at the airport for four hours waiting on them to come due to misdirections and confusion in the conversations I had with the staff. When I got to the hostel, the staff was very nice and everyone was very relaxed. I liked that. Overall, I really liked my stay, but my biggest problem was the transportation to and from the airport. The 'from the airport' I already explained, but then going to the airport to leave the city, I asked them when I got there, and then again a day early and AGAIN the day of, to have their taxi driver there for me at the time I specified. Knowing very well that the Brazilian way is more relaxed and people are generally late for everything, I told them a time a half an hour earlier than when I really needed to leave. I waited and waited and no one ever came for me, although the staff was constantly assuring me that the driver was on his way and 'arriving right now'. I waited an hour and finally had to get a different, random taxi to bring me to the airport, making me very late and nearly missing my flight. I was very dissapointed and annoyed with this. So, my overall review on the place is good, but the transportation is poor. If you stay at this hostel (which I do recommend because I liked it) and you need to use their transportation, make sure you schedule it to arrive VERY early or just opt to take a different means.
