Comments (English): Be aware that some of the rooms have been updated - new/clean carpets, fab japanese toilets. flat screen tv etc. Friends travelling with us checked in first and received a very nice accommodation. Later in the afternoon We checked into the same type, a 2 bedroom and were shocked to see a 15"tube tv, old fixtures, worn carpets and stinking of cigarette smoke. We were told no more rooms available as hotel was busy due to holiday weekend. Also because of the holiday our room was not serviced for our 3 day stay. The hotel was indeed strangely quiet... guess due to short staffing rather than numerous guests. Upside was location. Walk to restaurants, Forbidden City, shopping mall, night market etc. Advise to check on room quality and request non-smoking (i know we forgot) before arrival. Of course it is really cheap.....
