| Comments (English): I strongly recommend staying at Residenza Ca Bernardo if you're interested in a local's perspective of Venice. The apartment is typical of those located here and is surrounded by coffee bars and restaurants which are frequented by the locals. You will find this to be a big advantage if you are interested in sampling the local fair without paying tourist prices (which can be more than double in St Marco and the like). The apartment itself is comfortable but not too fancy. Beds are very hard which I suppose is better than springs in your back. We numbered 6 adults and found the rooms suitably accommodating - 3 in each room). I do not recommend this apartment to groups who have trouble keeping the noise down late at night. Sound travels too well through those canals. We all enjoyed our stay in Venice and would stay here again in the future. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
